Positive: «+» The apartment has a fantastic location, with a view of the cathedral, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and close proximity to the main street. The apartment itself is spacious, with balconies in every room, two bathrooms, and a washing machine. The host also allowed an early check-in, which we appreciated

Negative: However, the negatives outweighed the positives. First, there were no blankets provided in winter, despite the lack of heating. After our request, the host told us to use air conditioners and said blankets would only arrive the next day. The air conditioners heated poorly, and one room remained cold, forcing us to sleep in hoodies under thin sheets. When blankets were finally delivered, they were taken from a closet already in the apartment, which could have been resolved immediately. On the second night, cockroaches appeared everywhere — on floors, walls, and even dishes in the kitchen. This was extremely distressing for our group. The host dismissed our concerns, claiming they weren’t cockroaches and offering only to send a cleaner the next day. The terrace was also disappointing. Photos showed a beautiful space with a white canopy, but it was just a bare metal frame surrounded by worn-out surfaces. While we enjoyed breakfast there, construction work began on Monday morning, with metal pieces dragged onto the terrace and workers unexpectedly appearing. The terrace, accessed through a hallway, had no partition from neighbors, so it didn’t feel private. The lack of warning about the construction disrupted our plans, including a photoshoot, and made us feel unsafe. The apartment overall looked far better in photos than in reality. Bathrooms were worn, with water stains and a bad smell, and the property showed signs of poor maintenance. Smaller issues, like the elevator stopping one floor below and insufficient towel hooks, were minor compared to the more serious problems. What was most frustrating was the host’s dismissive attitude. Legitimate concerns were downplayed, and there was no effort to apologize or compensate for the inconvenience. This left us deeply disappointed, especially since we had chosen this place for a friend’s birthday celebration.
