Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lots of room for three couples, all with en suite bathrooms. Beautiful terrace to sit on ( if the sun bothers to come out, we weren’t very lucky there ) and a pool with lots of room to sit and a little sun terrace outside the front door too. Messi and Dante are lovely, charming and helpful hosts who were kind and generous towards us. The location is excellent for getting to Assisi, Gubbio, Cortona, Montepulciano, the lake - but you WILL need a car. It’s a bit tricky to get in and out of the drive but we mastered it quickly. There is aircon, but we didn’t need it in this June weather.

Negative: Like a lot of Italian properties, it is dark inside: if only it had been sunnier! in the heat, that might have been a blessing. We managed between us in the kitchen, although we ate out most of the time.

Summary: Good house for a group of friends: absolutely delightful hosts.
