Summary: We stayed 11 nights at this property as a family with young children (14, 6 and 4 yo). We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and shown around the immaculate and very charming property. The house is very well equipped with a beautiful courtyard to dine alfresco, or catch the morning sun with a cup of tea. The swimming pool was a massive win for the kids, and although too deep for the little ones to stand, wasn’t an issue as they can swim and they loved jumping off the diving board. The owner was exceptionally attentive. We had a slight accident with one child where she bumped her head, the owner provided us with hospital details immediately and checked in on her the days after. They also came around a few times during the stay to check water levels etc at the pool to make sure it was constantly clean. The gardens are very well kept and very private. The surrounding area is beautiful and quiet. The small town, Giarratana, just 4 min drive has all the basics, although for a better selection head to Ragusa (about 25 min drive). There’s a gorgeous restaurant 15 minute walk (4 mins in the car) - Locanda Angelica, which is very reasonably priced which also do takeaway pizzas, for more unusual pizzas there’s a cracking spot in town. We had an absolutely amazing time at this property and would definitely go again.
