Stunning, spacious and charming Villa on lake Como. 3 floors (plus basement) with veranda, balconies and a beautiful small private garden right by 5 star Villa D'Este hotel. Perfect as a base for families who visit the area for weddings in the nearby Villa d'Este or who are drawn by the many wonders of lake Como. Main house + service apartment (with in-house staff) have just been fully renovated. Newly installed AC at all floors, fresh art works and fully equipped functional gym in the basement.
THE SPACE The villa consists of a main historic building (1920s, Liberty style) structured on three floors above ground, with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen with dining area, a living room combined with a dining room and an additional semi-floor - very bright basement with a laundry room, gym, internal and external artworks and a small tavern. In front of the main house there is a small garden on two levels, with vegetation typical of the lakes' micro-climate. On sunny days, you can dine on the outside table on the terrace or on the stone table in the garden. By the house you will also find a parking space that can be used for up to 3 cars, and a "service apartment" with two service people (and their little daughter), who will be there to make your stay even more comfortable (with 4 hours of daily service activities already included).
GUEST ACCESS The whole villa will be exclusively reserved for the guests. The service apartment is adjacent but detached from the main house and has its own entrance, reserved to the housekeeping. Guests' Car(s) can access the inside open air parking space through an electric gate.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Some suggested activities: sigh-seeing lake villages by public or private boats (with or without licence small boats can be rented at the lake-side riviera in downtown cernobbio, right by the 'canottieri cernobbio'). The 'green way' (also found on google as 'green way del lago di Como') is an incredible must-do trial with breath-taking views all over the lake, easily accessible from nearby villages to Cernobbio.
Also, do not miss cultural visits to Como, Milan (Last Supper, Duomo, Sforza Castle, museums, shopping & fashion district, etc), jogging, hiking or mtb on the hills above the lake, swimming, Vips hunting on the amazing villas on the lake, relaxing, traditional restaurants or "crottos" dining, sailing (45 minutes drive), waterskiing, and why no, when around in winter: skiing (45' away), cross country skiing/nordic walking (1 hour away).
The villa is equipped with airconditioning on every floor, which has been newly installed end 2019 to face the increasing temperatures in the area - weather used to be milder but you know.. climate change! :)
