Also nearby is the beach of San Marco di Calatabiano, which lies on the stretch of coast between the mouth of the Alcantara River, to the north, and the Fiumefreddo River, to the south, in a wild and natural setting. From the beach it is possible to admire the majesty of the volcano Etna. It borders the renowned sandy beach of Giardini Naxos. Mascali is a perfect destination for visiting the east coast of Sicily but also the Taormina area and its coastline.
From the villa it also takes less than 20 minutes to reach the A18 motorway, to reach Catania (35 km) or Siracusa (about 100 km), or in the direction of Messina, to visit the seaside resorts on the north-east coast.
