Summary: We were not originally planning on staying in this part of Italy, but when our original plans fell through we found Giacomo and Karen's place as a way to get a break from the hustle and bustle of Rome. It turns out that they were excellent hosts who tried to accommodate us in all of our needs, from letting us check in early to arranging a ride to the airport. The location of the apartment is excellent, within walking distance to shops and restaurants and just a stone throw's away from the beach. The beach is excellent, clean with clear water, and fantastic evening sunsets. In the week the beach was very empty and quiet, but on the weekend it turns into a festive, family affair packed with local (Roman?) Italians. There are very few tourists. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. We fell in love with the area, which was all made possible and enhanced by Giacommo and Karen's affordable apartment and hospitable nature. Very nice!
