Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location was perfect - we wanted to be in the city center, near via Alloro, and the flat is located in front of the park Garibaldi which is lovely with many old huge trees. It's a great spot for people who want to explore the city center and the harbor for a few days, although I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.

Negative: The flat has way less bright than what it appears on the pictures, that was my first disappointment when we arrived. It's the typical Italian ground floor flat: basically no natural light, just a small window and the door itself that we let open most of the time. We visited at the end of winter and the flat had a strong musty, mouldy smell, and I spotted may marks of humidity on the walls. The smell was so strong that it permeated our clothes until we got home. The presence of a kitchen was one of the reason why I chose the flat, as we needed to cook some meals inside, but we were disappointed by the lack of appliances: there was basic cuttlery and pans, but nothing to start cooking with: no salt, oil, which for Italian standards are the very basics to cook a dish of pasta. Speaking of Italian standards, we would have appreciated a moka to make coffee instead of this capsule coffee machine with a watery taste. The bedroom is very small, there's barely space to move around the bed and no storage space. We were ordered to separate the trash according to the local rules, but no defined trash cans or bags were provided to that effect. I don't think that helps the guests to make the effort to comply with the rules. Finally, the interaction with the company was so-so - we met a nice guy at check-in, but the rest was handled by a (very likely) semi-automated chatbot on Whatsapp, with which the interactions were not very efficient.

Summary: Great location but dark and humid flat on the ground floor.
