Summary: Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. You can hear the kitchen working from the room but it’s usually quiet by midnight and starts up around 8 in noise. I did not mind this since I was out and about most of the time, but something to know. All the other hostel stayers were great and I made friends. Highly recommend!
