Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location and the lady who was the owner of the property. It was a very different experience from the agent who managed the property. The owner (elderly Lady) made every effort to make up for shortcomings of the agent and made us as comfortable as possible given the situation, see for issues below.

Negative: The property had recently been renovated, whereby issues should have resolved by the agent before letting, these include, the sewerage smell in the bathroom, shower would run out of hot within 10 minutes one of us had to have cold shower, no instructions for the appartment (standard practice at other booking.com premises), no WiFi, it requires a repeater / extender from the owner's WiFi and the washing machine did not have instructions on how to set it for a simple spin dry cycle so as to be able spin clothes and the hang to dry. Further the property agent was overwhelmed with customer enquiries and was not able to respond to our requests. It is not fair for paying customers who are travelling to be left on their own in a unknown environment. It is management responsibility to provide prompt and quality customer service to all. Advertising parking when there is no parking, it is street parking, and there were available slots and at times we had to park a long way away. We provided some of this feedback to the agent, so that others do not have the same problems. When travelling to new places it is stressful enough without finding these problems on arrival due to false advertising. Note the owner went out of her way to assist wherever she could e.g. buying an iron and ironing board. We have stayed at many places not only in Italy, however was one of our most disappointing experiences. We hope the above are remediated and future customers have a better experience.
