This lovely detached farmhouse known as Casa Giovanna was built in 1882. This charming home sits along a leafy lane close to the hilltop town of Palaia which is just under a 5-minute drive away.

RUSTIC SIMPLICITY WITH ORIGINAL FEATURES
Casa Giovanna is simply furnished with a mix of traditional Tuscan furniture and antique pieces. The interiors have been designed with family living in mind with a big Tuscan table in the kitchen as well as a second table placed on the patio for dining al fresco! Original features include antique terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and 2 open fireplaces.

LOVELY VIEWS WITH OLIVE TREES AND PRIVATE POOL
The outside space is charming surrounded by Cypress and olive trees as well as bushes of brightly coloured Oleander. From the upstairs bedrooms, there are beautiful views over the valley and hills.
There is plenty of places for children to play on the lawn, hidden shaded corners for those who like to stay cool and sun traps for those who want to soak up the sun.
The private pool is a welcomed new addition to the house this year (2017) and measure 7 x 5 meters.
PLENTY OF PRIVATE PARKING SPACE AND EASY ACCESS
There is plenty of parking space right next to the house. Access is down a leafy lane part of which is surfaced and is easy to navigate
GENUINE FARM PRODUCE AVAILABLE FROM THE OWNER
The owners produce red wine, extra virgin olive oil, oney and salame, all of which are available to buy directly from the owner.
CLOSE TO AUTHENIC HILL TOP VILLAGE
The charming village of Palaia with its Medieval heart and beautiful panoramic views is just under a mile/1.5 kilometers away and for those who like to walk it is quite possible from the property. However, we do recommend using a car if visiting in the evenings due to the dimly lit country lanes.
The village of Palaia has everything you need to enjoy your stay in rural Tuscany, a couple of bars, a handful of restaurants, grocery stores, bakers etc.…The nearby larger town of Pontedera is just under a 30-minute drive away where you can stock up on the way at a bigger supermarket
ENGLISH SPEAKING OWNERS AND PROPERTY MANAGERS
The property management is hosted by Marie and Lorenzo of Authentic Tuscany who live in Tuscany not far from Palaia. It is Marie and Lorenzo who will deal with your booking and provide you with the tools to help you plan the perfect break in Tuscany, in addition they are available to answer any of your questions prior to arrival. Giovanna the property owner will meet and welcome you to the property on your arrival. Giovanna lives locally and is a mind of information, she also speaks very good English.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Guests are asked to arrive from 4.00pm and ideally by 7.00pm.
Guests must notify us as soon as possible as to their estimated time of arrival and flight details if applicable. Whenever possible we offer flexibility to all our guests and in some cases, it may be possible to arrive/depart outside the scheduled times shown above however there will additional charges for late departures.

Guests must vacate the property by 10.00am
