Baglio il Corvo is a '700 horseshoe farmhouse just 3 km from Gangi. This property is located on the mountain of Corvo, from which it takes its name, and enjoys a picturesque view of the valley and the beautiful village of Gangi. This is the ideal place for those who love nature, rural life and for a getaway from the chaos of the city, accompanied by the slow rhythms and noises of country life. The highlight of the farmhouse are the outdoor spaces: the enchanting garden, the terraces that complete the two master bedrooms, and the swimming pool overlooking the valley furnished with tables, chairs and deck chairs.
The interiors of the house recall the past of this place, with the placement, the wooden furnishings and original geometric floors. The ground floor houses the rustic-style kitchen, complete with oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster and the dining room. The ground floor also features a relaxation and recreation area with some gym equipment and table tennis. Going up through some stairs guests will get to the living area: a first room furnished with a large table leads to two living rooms with sofas, one of which is also a bed. The sleeping area mainly spreads on the first floor with two master bedrooms with a queen-size bed, furnished terrace with panoramic views and ensuite bathroom (one with shower and one with bath), and a bedroom with two single beds and en suite bathroom with bathtub. This small town is the protagonist of a stone scene of houses decorated with flowers, wrought iron balconies, rich portals, eighteen churches, palaces and artistic treasures scattered in the typical alleys. Gangi is one of the 14 municipalities affected by the Madonie Regional Natural Park, an area in the heart of Sicily suspended between sea and mountains and was elected “Borgo più bello d’Italia” in 2014. Gangi is a place rich in architectural and artistic heritage: the fourteenth-century city walls enclose the upper part of the city, which retains the most significant buildings such as the church of San Paolo, dell'Abbadia and Palazzo Mocciaro. The lower part develops instead on the steep and narrow uphill roads that lead to the historic center, whose streets follow parallel and decreasing curves. The Gangitano menu boasts several dishes: not to be missed the caciocavallo di Gangi, a pecorino cheese of first or second salt seasoned with peppercorns, and dry sausage, but also the pasta ccu maccu, the castrato baked with potatoes and traditional mastacuttè, flour biscuits, sugar and fig juice.
