Located outside the town of Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast, this former watchtower and has been recently restored and renovated to the highest standards. It has been furnished with a careful choice of furnishings and antiques.Its location 110 steps above the road level affords it an independent, private, and peaceful location. The property follows the Amalfi building tradition, with each of its three levels having independent entrances. There are two private parking spaces available at the bottom of the steps to the villa. A porter service for the luggage is included in the rental. Also at the bottom of the villa\'s steps are two very good restaurants and a bus stop for the SITA buses that connect Amalfi in 10 minutes, Positano in 30 minutes, and Sorrento in about 1 hour. A communal staircase (approx. 400 steps), 400 meters away, take you down to Santa Croce public beach which houses 2 restaurants, and offers umbrellas and chairs for hire.The Villa Garden has three floors, each with access to the property and balconies from which to enjoy the views.The ground floor houses a garden/terrace equipped with tables and chairs, 2 bedrooms each with Queen-sized beds, a spacious dining/living room with table that seats 4 and a sitting room with wicker table and armchairs (the windows offer a fascinating view). Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, TV, and independent heating/air conditioning.The external staircase takes you to the lovely garden on the upper floor. This second garden is shaded by olive trees and awnings and is furnished with sun-chairs, a dining table with chairs that seats 12, barbeque, and outdoor shower.The middle floor also has 2 queen bedrooms with TV. They share a bathroom in the corridor between them. At the end of this corridor is a sitting room with a 3 seat sofa, 2 leather armchairs, and small wrought iron table that opens onto a balcony/terrace with great views of the sea.The master bedroom, on the middle floor, has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub immediately outside the bedroom, a Queen-size bed that can be made as 2-twin beds, and a TV.On the middle floor, one also find the main living area. The roomy kitchen/dining room with high ceilings is also located on the right side of the hall. The kitchen is equipped with 3 small refrigerators, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining room next to the kitchen has a table that seats 12 people and a fireplace.Twenty steps in the garden will lead you to the top floor which is dominated by a spacious rooftop terrace. This space enjoys wide views, deck chairs, inbuilt seating, outdoor shower, a laundry room, and an independent, interior accommodation that has a sitting area with 2 seat sofa, cooking facilities (with a small fridge, sink, and 2 electric hotplates), dining area with 4 person table and a sloping ceiling, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with a sloping ceiling that has a Queen-size bed that can be 2-twin beds.A washing machine is available for your use as well as a pay phone for incoming and outgoing calls and hairdryers in each bathroom. There is a mandatory cleaning fee that provides 5 hours of cleaning daily Monday-Saturday and one change of linen midweek for the villa. From the parking, 116 steps lead to the main entrance. Included with villa rental is a porter service for the luggage. A English speaking manager available on call. Electricity: 150 Kwh are included in the rental price, excess of this will be charged locally at Euro 0.42 per Kwh.
